A candle collection inspired by the love story between Apollo and Hyacinthus and the various forms sensuality can take.

In Greek myth, Hyacinthus’s life is transformed into a flower, turning the ephemeral into an enduring presence. Each fragrance in the collection interprets a distinct sensuality and finds in the flame a way to inhabit space, awaken memory, and keep alive that which transforms us.

JACINTX 05 explores warm sensuality: intimate, physical, and deeply enveloping. Hyacinth and rose open the composition with an intense floral expression. At the heart, guaiac wood provides depth and a delicately smoky nuance before settling onto a soft, lingering base of woods and musks.

Its scent evokes the closeness of skin, the intimacy of a flame, and the heat that remains in a room after an encounter.

Every year, a creative voice from the LGBTQIA+ community interprets the universe of Jacintx. The fragrance remains; the object takes on a new form.

For Ed. MMXXVI, Yumiko Yanome, an artist and ceramicist of Mexican and Japanese roots, handcrafts a piece in Mexico that establishes a dialogue between two geographies united by fire: Mexico City, where the ceramic takes shape, and Greece, the territory of origin of the myth of Apollo and Hyacinthus.

Its dark, porous, and irregular outer surface evokes the volcanic landscapes of the Pedregal and the Aegean: matter transformed by fire that retains the memory of its origin. In contrast, the interior reveals fields of color layered like an abstract landscape, with a different chromatic composition for each Jacintx sensuality.

As you light the candle, the flame gradually reveals this interior landscape. The color does not illustrate the fragrance: it translates its emotional temperature and gives it a presence of its own.

Each piece retains the mark of its process. Variations in texture, glaze, and color are part of its nature and ensure that no two are exactly alike.

Ingredients

Botanical wax blend, fragrance, and cotton wick.

Due to the natural origin of some of its ingredients, the wax may present slight color variations.

The lighting ritual

Light it and allow the wax to melt to the edges of the container. As the fragrance unfolds, perceive how the hyacinth and rose meet the smoky warmth of the guaiac wood. Let the woods and musks slowly envelop the space and create an intimate, close atmosphere.

Care

• Before each use, trim the wick to approximately 7 mm.
• On the first burn, allow the surface of the wax to melt evenly.
• Enjoy it for one to four hours per session.
• Place on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from drafts.
• Never leave a burning candle unattended or within reach of children or pets.

A piece to remain

Our containers are designed to have a second life: reuse them as a decorative object or bring them to our showroom for a refill and continue enjoying their beauty.
